Bellinger Bowls Club was formed in 1998 when a group from Shipton Bellinger purchased a mat and started playing regularly in Shipton Bellinger Village Centre.

The Club has grown over the years but has never been a big club. Currently we have 3 mats and, as a means of easing the workload when rolling mats up, earlier this year we purchased an electric winding machine with the help of various grants.

We meet in Shipton Bellinger Village Centre on Wednesday evenings from 7.15 - 9.00 pm and Monday atternoons from 2.15 - 4.00 pm.

We  encourage new members to come and give the game a go and we have bowls which they may use for a trial period without the expense of purchasing new bowls when starting. Experience is not required, and the game is soon picked up. The only stipulation we apply is flat soled shoes must be worn at all times. We will be pleased to hear from you.

The Club is registered with Hampshire County Short Mat Bowls Association and we have a number of players who play for the County Team and one member who plays at national level.
